Centralized core functions into a Dynamics 365 + Azure integration platform and migrated the Taxi geolocation registry to cloud.
Challenge
The agency operated many disconnected business lines with custom applications. Leadership wanted a single customer view for service representatives, support for an e-commerce permits flow, and a safer home for the taxi geolocation platform hosted on an aging municipal server.
Approach
- Defined business data models per line of business and deployed them in Dataverse.
- Designed the global Azure integration layer connecting internal apps to Dynamics 365 customer profiles.
- Integrated a custom e-commerce solution with Dynamics 365 through event-driven Azure components.
- Evolved the Mobicité parking app architecture to support one-day permit purchases.
- Migrated Taxi geolocation from a physical data-centre server to Azure, under the agency's security baseline.
Outcome
A unified platform approved by the architecture committee, a modern customer-service experience, and a taxi geolocation service out of technical-debt territory.
